The Endocrine Disruption Exchange
From 2003 to 2019, TEDX produced and shared scientific evidence of endocrine disruption with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and the public. Although we are no longer operating, our website resources will remain available.

About TEDX

We believe preventing exposure to harmful chemicals is a path to good health, and we strove to achieve this in everything we did.

For 16 years, TEDX operated as a science based, nonprofit research institute with a mission to reduce the production and use of chemicals that interfere with healthy hormone function. We achieved this by identifying and responding to pressing scientific questions, and collaborating with partners to protect and improve human and ecological health.

We used systematic review methods developed by the US National Toxicology Program to answer questions about the hazards chemicals pose. We published the results of those reviews in peer-reviewed scientific journals. We also hosted presentations and created unique interactive tools to communicate the work of other scientists studying endocrine disruption.

By partnering with other nonprofit organizations we shared this information with the public, policy makers from the local to global level, government agencies, and health conscious businesses. Our primary focus was endocrine disruption, however we also explored the effects of other chemicals that, like endocrine disruptors, undermine the potential of humans and animals to thrive. For example, see our Oil and Gas Program Overview. We believe preventing exposure to harmful chemicals is a path to good health, and we strove to achieve this in everything we did.
