Results for Bisphenol A

Decreased percent of methylated CpG sites in oocytes of Igf2r at 20.0 and 40.0 μg/kg and Peg3 at 40.0 μg/kg. Decerased mRNA levels of Dnmt1, Dnmt3a and Dnmt3b at 20.0 and 40.0 μg/kg and decreased Dnmt3l at the 40.0 μg/kg dose level. ERα mRNA transcript levels were increased at 40.0 μg/kg with increased ER protein levels at both 20.0 and 40.0 μg/kg dose levels. Alterations in the percentages of primordial, primary, secondary, and antral follicles with increases in oocyte diameter at both doses.

Low doses tested: 20.0 or 40.0 μg/kg bw/d

Route of administration: dissolved in DMSO and delivered hypodermically

Exposure duration: post-natal day 7 – post-natal day 14 (comparable to human prenatal development from approximately day 1 of week 24 to day 1 of week 32)

Age of measurement: post-natal day 15
